I am old man (35) and my blood sugar is currently 400 so im probably all fucked

The last time i had an official IQ test was over 20 years ago and so i really dont think it counts anymore, i cant even remember the score only that i was 'above average'. the internet tells me im a fucking genius though :^)

I did to actual IQ tests. On the first I scored 122 (without preparation) on the second I scored 132 (most probably learning effects).

I have the assumption that practice effects only matter if you are taking the same exact test again or you are seeing the same exact questions. If you are familiar with spatial questions you will approach the test more confidently, but this doesn't mean you somehow got better at abstract reasoning. So either you took the same test or did the same questions or took tests testing different things entirely or guessed on a few questions. Practiced effects do not have insane effects on novel tests I think.

The numbers of people scoring highly on the verbal reasoning test makes me think the test isn't properly calibrated. 0.1% is less than one person every thousand.

The website is testing people that are probably already above average if they're actively going out of their way to test themselves. 80 IQ people struggle to even operate computers, 70 IQ people outright can't.

It was the same test (which surprised me), but there were 6 years in between. So yeah you may be right. Then again 10 points are sometimes considered to not be significant. It would still lie within the normal fluctuation interval. Another factor is that intelligence seems to peak at the age of 25-27. The first time I took the test I was 20 and the second time I took it I was 26. So maybe that also plays a role.

You are right practice effects are normally negligible. But if you know some "tricks" then it is sometimes possible to solve more questions. Such tricks might be turning something clockwise or knowing the Fibonacci sequence and such things.

The issue is that they're trainable skills.

These have a lot of predictive ability, simple visual reaction time in particular with IQ, since OP is interested in that, and choice reaction time even more so.

But it's not very informative to compare a sample of people who practice these things to a sample of people who don't. /sci/ babies are desperate to have their feelings of mental superiority validated, so it's safe to assume they practiced.
