What are your thoughts on Geology? I'm starting 2nd year this year, not sure if I will continue, up until now it has been interesting but it keeps getting more and more technical.

Archaelogy major/Geology minor here, I recommend sticking with it. The technicalities eventually start becoming what you normally see. It's fun to look at the world around you and just... Understand how it works, while still knowing there's so much you don't understand. Seems like most of the jobs in pure geology are oil, coal and gas stuff though- and they make a lot. I might not be on that track, but you'll go far anon.

The other problem, probably bigger problem I have is that I don't really want to do FIFO and be away from a woman for half of my life. It just sounds shitty. Though on the plus side I would probably be able to retire in 15 years.
