While their public relations profile is designed to project an image ("Chemistry for Life") they are actually a Washington DC based special interest lobbying organization.
Their efforts help to confuse and deflect criticism of science policy at the service of capital, and promulgate the distribution and mandate use of chemicals known to cause cancer and endocrine disruption. A front group, in other words, for multinational conglomerates who have poisoned every man, woman and child with persistent, novel synthetic chemicals.
Their public relations engage in "green-washing" but just spend a few days going to presentations and you'll find there are many novel, untested, and unregulated molecules being researched and promoted, while, on the other hand, you'll find only a meager number of studies just trying to grasp the scope and implications of pollutants that have been known to destroy life in the environment.
