Get him to be inspired himself instead of forcing him to do something. Get him to try things from many fields. Get him to try multiple activities including sciences, arts, sports, etc.

have him take piano lessons from a teacher whose students often place in local competitions (indication it is a serious, dedicated teacher). It boost IQ, short term memory, pattern recognition, math ability, etc. Bonus that from doing this he won't rebel against you trying to force math on him

Same, but I think I’m in the right track now, but it would have made a difference if my parents weren’t degens. I won’t my kid be like that, but I’ve also seen what too strict parents do to kids: nothing, they rebel and turn out like average teenagers

there is a study, I forget the name, which proves that simply providing your kid with a desk for studying in their bedroom has a huge impact on their overall effectiveness at school and other things like school. So just make sure they have a fucking desk, a chair, and a good room. I actually didn't have that growing up
