imagine the universe is like a communications network, a blackhole is a node in that network where there is so much information being processed, that it can't transmit it fast enough to the rest of the network, and it keeps getting more an more information fed to it, that it has to process before it can send the first message (to ensure the first message complies with the rules of the network)
eventually, once the quantity and age of matter inside it reaches as scale and complexity that no duration of the universe would facilite it ever being able to process, the black hole will collapse into a mush of dark matter (useless mass that cant be ever unscrambled)
