Are humans inherently more loving towards kin? If we swapped two babies in a hospital, and nobody ever found out about it, would you expect their 'fake' parents to love them less than their real parents would have?

There would be clues, just not enough that you twig. The child wouldn't resemble you enough to make you subconsciously love it, however, it's not SO dissimilar that your rational mind says 'it's not mine'.

Honestly what I think would prove it is people ranking different faces and unconsciously favouring those more like their own.

True, but: I don't know if it's included in the study I linked, but I have read about a study which showed that parents mourn the loss for longer/more intensely of a child that looks more like them than one that is also biologically there's but looks less like them
