I GOT SCOOPED

Just found out a protocol I developed at my old lab was published in Plant Physiology AND a textbook and I got no credit. Given I was a lowly undergrad lab assistant but I put my heart and soul into that project, and it caused a lot of personal issues / tension within my team along the way I'd rather not get into here.

Anyway what do /sci/? I havn't worked in that lab / kept in contact with them due to the nature of my departure, but the asshat who fired my for literally no reason got his ass canned for doing so apparently.

Its nice knowing i've been vindicated, and that its actually been a great service to the project, but it'd also be sweet to add to my resume.

Whats the traditional procedure here? Can credit be given post publication? At the very least I'd like a "special thanks to anon" in the second addition of the book.
