I had to pay 150 dollars for pearson online homework. Now I have to pay 12 dollars more so I can take my in-class quizzes. All of this is on top of my tuition. I'm not even taking an online class, all of this is required for my lectures.

I had to for chemistry and calc 3.
They weren't online classes.
I would get charged $25 per semester for printer fees even if I didn't use the printers.
I would get charged $150 per CS class for computer fees for classes that had zero programming assignments.
I would get charged yearbook fees even if I didn't get a yearbook.
etc. etc.
College is a scam that preys on young ignorant consumers.
You would think that with all of the news about outrageous college costs there would be a push cut down on the unnecessary bloat.
Instead there is a push to make taxpayers pay for it which would only feed the bloat.

once there's a mass collapse in student loan repayments and there has to be congressional hearings on that and stuff, people will start rethinking the conventional wisdom. not til then, people are too afraid of bucking the trend and doing something different than others without well-known leadership

it doesn't help that high school still hammers the idea that college is a requirement into your brain, and keeps saying to parents and students that if you don't go to college you will never get a job.
