he is a good author and he is reasonable in his anti-string stuff (unlike the anti-string brainlets on this board) bit if you read his book and his writings he is clearly butthurt that he chose not to study string theory in grad school and got a glorified sysadmin job instead since he missed the boat. his book has one of the most amazing witten worship sections (a whole chapter) of all time so it all adds up to him being buttblasted that his brain was and isn’t powerful enough, so it casts a serious shadow over all his arguments
