I'm no scientstician, but when I was tryinig to go to sleep lst night I couldn't get a thought out of my head.

Gravity.

There's models for gravity, but if I'm not mistaken we don't know what it really is. Field, distortion in spacetime, quantum gibberish... there's models that work for the math, fine, but the actual "what is it" isn't decided, yeah? As far as I can tell the agreement between the standard model and quantum gravity is that its a function of mass, but that's about it.

So, when the universe reaches maximum entropy, time stops. Would gravity still exist though? And if it did, would that mean that the same moment that the universe reaches maximum entroy it would collapse into a singularity and the big bang start again?

Tell me why I'm wrong.
