I found this arrowhead made out of chert but history teaches us Aboriginal Australians never invented the bow and arrow. Is it possible to get it dated or will that only tell me the date of the stone?

I don't want to do this because there are laws on aboriginal artifacts here. I could end up getting fined just for taking it from where I found it. I'm pretty confident they won't give it back to me.

And yes, minerals can be dated though it us hard. They will most likely want to know exactly where it as found so that they can perform stratigraphy which also helps in dating it.

It is possible, I think they can test the cutting edges if it was cutting something organic. Basically you would have to give it to a university.

Keep in mind that modern people sometimes wear them as necklaces and it has the holes for one, so it may be modern.
