It never ends. It only gets worse the further you progress, as you're forced to memorize weird sidelines of the Najdorf variation on the Sicilian defense so you don't get blown off the board by some 12 year old with a memory like a sponge but no positional understanding. It's a part of the game you just have to accept.

Got invited to go to a pub and play some pool by housemates. Made up some shit about having to write a lab report and then just stayed at home and played vidya and studied thermodynamics for the whole day. This has been going for a year like that
I'm fairly certain they think I'm on the spectrum
Also I'm fairly certain I'll kill myself in a few years because of this. Life fucking sucks

self-coping with the spectrum does not sound like a very good idea. if you show up at a gathering of your friends like "sorry bros i had a mental health crisis" that is totally legit in today's world. they will probably like you even more, especially if you manage to score one of those great prescriptions that turn you normal and thenceforth fit in

Antidepressants are placebos. There isn't anything else they'd give you for autism. It's just therapy (which is just hundreds of dollars a month to hear a therapist tell you to just be urself).
Chances are they won't give him benzos or a gabapentinoid for autism. Even though they would help in his case, they would probably cause other problems anyways.
