I hated statistics and dropped the class because I couldn’t accept the idea of SD(standard deviation).
Why shouldn’t we use MAD(mean absolute deviation) as the more natural and beautiful criterion instead of that unsightly mishmash? No one do statistics without a computer today so there should be no excuse.
