Aerospace engineering?

Please, redpill me on aerospace engineering. Will I be able to get a job in that field after uni? Should I pursue. Mechanical with a minor in aerospace? Or is a PhD in aerospace better. Should I even go for the engineering route?

Any aerospace engineers out there willing to share some tips and recommendations are welcome to. Honestly the idea of ASE is pretty cool. I've tried my best to educate myself on what exactly it is and what you do in a job like that. It seems like something I could enjoy doing.

I'm 18 but I'm still halfway thru senior year and I'd like to know what books I could read to know what I will be facing during uni. What text books did you use when studying ASE?

Honestly I'm not sure if I should go that route, but I feel some pressure from my family to study this. It doesn't even seem that bad. I enjoy mathematics and while I'm not the best at it I can certainly become better at it.

I just really don't want to be stuck doing that if I don't like it. So would you recommend it?
