How can I simplify this?
I get det(A^T(BAB^(-1)-I))=
det(A)*det(BAB^(-1)-I)
And I know the determinant of A and the determinant of B and the A matrix (but not the B matrix), and I need to simplify the expression to a value, however how do I simplify det(BAB^(-1)-I)? Since it has the I subtracting I can't just write it as det(A-I) or can I?
