Back when I was in highschool, my maths exams had two parts. Knowledge and procedures. This tested how well you learned the content. And modeling and problem solving. Which tested you ability to apply your knowledge in new situations. On these exams I got A's. But I typically did better on modeling and problem solving. My maths teacher said that its rather unusual to have that. What does this mean? Is it better to be better at knowledge and procedures of modelling and problem solving?
