First I suggest at least fucking around in scratch and getting a lego Mindstorm then learn a coding language like c++ and or python
You should also just have a basic understanding of electronics and stuff like that.

Mainly mech E as it takes a slight bit of physics and math and mech e helps you build on that and your building and engineering skills

Yeah cs is gay but it’s mainly needed in almost everything engineering now due to the rise of automation. Besides CS is easy as hell to learn. And to those salty bio boomers that say “CoDInG iS bOrINg aNd FoR WaGEcUcKS” it’s not that hard
