In case you thought that the past decade was fast enough to find hidden biases and abusive hierarchies that favor the rich over the poor, here's a follow-up message.

Big data analysis is especially important today because:

Image attribution is extremely important (given enough images, researchers can say with 100% certainty that an image is of a famous movie star).

It's still, at least in part, based on flawed techniques.

It's very dangerous to have big data to shape public perception of a situation (e.g. are Black Lives Matter good for us?)
A list that reads like the students from one of my school's schools. There are six alumni listed with a name like:

John Bradley Tom Bradley

Ed Bradley Ron Bradley

My good friend Tom Bradely published many papers here, does he visit /sci/ much?
