Can someone explain to me why a refrigerator turns on 20 times a day? I've ordered food that required refrigeration through the mail wrapped in nothing but styrofoam with a few cold packs and it's never been anything but frigid when it got to me, but somehow my refrigerator has to keep pumping heat out of a box all fucking day? Are they designed to leak heat in order to create profit for electric companies or something?? Would I be better off just building my own god damned refrigerator? I can't understand this shit.
