Im learning for exams. I wrote down a few notes and decided to write a command line tool to help me. What do you guys think about a CLI where you can input the atom name and you get informations about its core, orbit and atomic mass.

Don't you think mine explains it better. In Periodic it only lists the atomic mass and doesn't break it down which orbit has how much mass and how its all put together. I would argue mine is better and more visually pleasing.

lol, first of all, this is probably more of a chemistry 101/111 1st two week set of information. Why spend time inputting all the periodic table when every test in chemistry I ever had let you look at the table on a wall/had it on the front sheet. I have a BS in chemistry too, that included all higher level courses. It isn't important to memorize any specific element, it is important to learn the arrangement of the table contextually.

Also, you say physics crash course in the subject, but this type of info would only be applicable for quantum courses....but if you're that far along, you probably don't need a crash course on "how do I into elements"

Im learning physics, chemistry etc at the moment and I wanted to build a CLI tool to calculate the atomic mass of molecules and chemicals.

Its just a hobby and I thought the cli might get beginners knowledge faster then a book.

Serious question in my physics book I have guideline numbers for copper and metal wires and their resistance.

1. Does electrical resistance correlate with the number of electrons / atomic mass of the metal molecules?

2. In my physics book I also have numbers for density. I can check out how much energy is one electron and I can calculate the numbers of electrons of the object if I know its density.
So my CLI could calculate the number of electrons and how many joules it is in a cube of metal or wood etc.

Could my CLI tool help understand beginners about electricity, resistance, potential etc? By understanding it from the atom up.

It's stupid and has no practical purpose, OP. The level of chemistry/physics you're taking does not benefit from anything other than a cheap calculator and a few tables.

Also the fact that it's a CLI i/o app with a disgusting layout make it absolutely useless for anything other than your personal and useless autistic personal use. You obviously dont have any more programming knowledge than you do on physics and chemistry.

I may sound like an asshole for the above, but as an honest advice/opinion, why dont you just focus on stuff that actually matters like understanding the concepts and working harder instead of writing a 12 years old first python program? It would benefit you a ton more than any dumb cli application.

Software supports now all hydrogen isotopes and the standard oxygen and carbon atoms. Listing of electrons and orbits is not made yet.
You need python3 to run the script.
After implementing orbits and their electrons Im looking into multicore - multithreading and GPUGPU for HPC.

FWIW the Python that it comes with is a really crippled version.

However, you can write and compile your own programs in C++ or whatever and side load them onto the calculator, though, which is cool.

You don't seem to have understood the magnitude of this project.

Let me put it in simple words:

You will be able to specify an object, size , density, and molecular structure and this software will calculate the electrical resistance and potential. Multicore is needed to calculate properties.
