I've only had the flu once in my life, and that was when I was 13 and let them give me a flu shot. Never before nor since. No one I know gets the flu unless they get flu shots. There's your "flu season".

You do realize that an anecdotal post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy is not really enough to disprove flu shot efficacy. The viruses in the vaccine are either dead or so incredibly weak that they could only infect you if your immune system were virtually non-existent. Has it ever occurred to you that your body might not have had enough time to produce the influenza antibodies after your shot?

i think the act of pinpricking fluid into u is the bad part when young. idk. or some overlooked part. science will reveal it all eventually, it always does i find. I wouldn’t doubt that it could be a little bit of both, maybe it’s utterly not worth it and gets more people sick overall yet it could bolster an individual in some cases as well.

Flu shot is one of the most consistently ineffective vaccines out there. There have been no studies on its efficacy (because that would be ‘unethical’) and they pick the right strains only about half the time anyway.
One study I saw estimated that a flu shot shortens the length of time required off work due to flu by about half a day.

As for flue shots I’m certain all the data and knowledge there is to know exists on it, if it’s obfuscated than eventually the real information will be known (science is transparent most of the time, or it’s tricky and complex)
i hope that the issues caused by both obfuscation and complexity are solved!
