I don't know OP, but I've felt high/trippy in my younger years simply by skipping nights of sleep. It is known that you can allucinate. Not really what opioids do iny limited knowledge. I wouldn't be able to do that now at 28.
I've later tried weed and mushrooms and the effect of sleep deprivation was similar to the moment you realize the drug has begun its effect. Then you also get headaches, slower reflexes, photosemsibility, cold, anxiety etc
