Can women truly release pheromones that men can sense when they ovulate thus making them seem more attractive to men?

I feel like when I'm around my guy friends and guys in general kind of, 1-2weeks after my period, they act nicer or strange toward me.This seems anecdotal and a self fulfilling prophecy though since it comes to mind now from the time I heard about it 2 years. I do only tend to remember this once I notice their behavior though.
I noticed days this week yet didn't occur to me again until yesterday when I remembered period was was the 27th of dec.
Sorry if this seems super personal. I'm just trying give adequate description to aid in observation.
The evolutionary advantage for this seem all over the place. It implies women were competing for mates and that allowed men more reproductive success if they could pick up on it. Yet, it's also mentioned that women conceal their ovulation unlike other female animals so it allowed them to sleep around more with different males.
This is why evolutionary psych is so pointless sometimes imo, it's all speculation that can't even be agreed upon.
