What to you mean? Roman numerals are super efficient at tallying, which for a long time was numbers most handy purpose.
Also I bet you don't know an easier way to write 5,000,001 in Roman is -L-I
There's other tricks, they weren't huge fans of writing out MMMXCIIV either

Yet modern Native Americans, from the tip of Chile to Alaska, all do pretty poorly on any sort of intelligence assessments. I wonder if the old world disease brought over during the Columbian exchange might have caused this; the smarter native Americans, able to build relatively densely populated cities might have been hit a lot harder by diseases than the dumber ones living at much lower population densities. Or perhaps their is some gene varient that causes higher intelligence but makes you more vulnerable to fevers, used to be common in native Americans. An interesting hypothesis to consider.

More than likely the progenitors of civilization in the Americas aka Mesoamericans were snuffed out by Europeans before their ideas, philosophies and themselves could properly spread everywhere else. So now you have Native Americans even reasonably moderate IQ ones (the Inuit Eskimos for example) doing poorly in life and not contributing. Because they didn't get the foundation necessary to jumpstart their societies.

Imagine if Mediterraneans were completely snuffed out by a advanced foreign nation. Europeans would not be where they are now.

Because europeans were dumber back then. The genetic changes that took place in Europe after the fall of the roman empire is what created the modern European so to speak. Over the cause of about 1500 years or so the average European IQ increased by approximately 30%.

The Black Plague also didn’t wipe out 90%+ of the population. Not to say I buy his theory, but its not unrealistic to think that such a massive death toll would affect comparatively developed and interconnected civilizations more severely than isolated tribes.
