If x > 1 this turns into infinity, not 2 or 4.
If x < 1 then the result will be < 1 so not 2 or 4.
If x == 1 the result is 1, not 2 or 4.
There's no whole number we can substitute for x to make an infinite series of powers equal 2 or 4. If the input needs to be something other than an integer I'm not interested.
