My University roommate just told me the most unsettling thing a student could hear. He said that whatever job you take out of college will set the pace for how much you’re worth and basically locks you into a socioeconomic status not of your choosing. Is this true? That you’ll be worth less to companies if you compensate and hop on the first paycheck possible out of school? That’s gotta be a conspiracy, right?
