Alright, i'm no studied scientist, and this question is posed out of curiosity. But i've been seeing nonsense everywhere saying that the current set of fires in australia are being cause by directed energy weapons of all things.

They are using this image as proof, the fire tornado.

Now I know that even the concept of this is ridiculous when you try to think of a motive, ANY motive, AT ALL, by a party with the resources to pull this off. there aren't many, and all of them would not want the country fucking burned. I digress.

I have to ask though, Would a High energy laser/microwave weapon even interact with plasma this way? I don't have access to such equipment to experiment on this

Are there any actual scientists here how would know anything about this? this can't be how it works yeah? I mean I've seen Electric arcs travel down a high energy laser from a Tesla Coil. But would fire interact with lasers the same way? Also being plasma, although lower energy.
