Start with psychology, sociology and history so you can get a general understanding of some of the characteristics humans share, the way they organize, what made the world this way. from there you can to either trough, the political-economic route(political sciences, geo-politics, economy, business, law, criminology) communication route( linguistics, communication), or the learned behaviors route(anthropology, pedagogy, archeology).
You can do all 3 with enough time, but they communicate better with subjects within the same group.
