If your main goal is to have a good salary you should just become a doctor (if you're in the US) or a lawyer (again, if you're in the US). If you're contemplating Physics it's because you either like mental challenges or you are extremely curious. You can still be financially successful after a Physics degree, but you need to understand you will need to drift into other fields after your degree to do so, ie. like Finance, IT, etc. I did Physics and now I'm working in Finance/IT, and I can safely say that studying Physics was a great choice because it taught me how to think, deconstruct and visualise problems as well as being perseverance (completing a Physics degree in a demanding department is incredibly difficult if you're not someone that is capable of studying hours every single day of the semester). All that made me extremely more productive than my current peers and everyone thinks I'm genius (I'm not).
