>>11285897If humans wanted to buy things with "good" design goals (which you seem to suggest are things that last more than 3 years, which in the vehicle segment, would entail longer warranties), we would see the manufacturers providing the best/longest warranties outcompete the others. In the real world though, longetivity, robust warranties, etc. aren't cared about by the buying public in a meaningful manner. You could buy a mining truck perhaps, these are sometimes sold with contracts guaranteeing x amount of downtime for failures/maintenance.
