Racism is not an instinct.
There is an instinct to be attracted to people who look like us and repulsed by people who don't.
But it is not racism, for it doesn't necessarily involve resentment. That's why Asians are easily tolerated in European societies.
Racism happens when there is an additional social reason for hostility, like for example when you want to enslave the other, or when the other commits 50% of all murders despite being 13% of the population.
