It's difficult to give precise estimates, so they are not sure.
Even if it happens it won't be as spectacular as people seem to think though.
Just a light in the sky, not even that bright.
Cool for astronomers, average people would probably be disappointed.

I read that if a supernova does happen, it will be as big and bright as a full moon on the night sky. That's pretty specteclar for me
