If you are interested in analytical chemistry and learning about instrumentation and data treatment, this is my absolute favorite textbook. Some students are turned off by it, but I really enjoyed reading through it as it is the most practical textbook for any practicing chemist.
If you have a passing interest in biochemistry, Lehninger's is the best textbook to learn about the field. Many students swear by Lehninger's, but it was my least favorite textbook to have used during my undergraduate students because of how many tangents and specific asides are mentioned in the chapters. If you are inclined to give it a look, scan through the chapters and take a look for the most "general chapters" that outline protein structures, general ideas of bioenergetics and metabolism, and discussions of properties/behavior of other biological macromolecules as these are the most useful chapters for gaining some insight and context into the the subject.
