When a circular object is rolling, the velocity at the bottom of the object is zero according to many videos and resources I've analyzed.
However, doesn't that mean the wheel cannot spin? Because if it does, then the bottom point is not the bottom point anymore. It would move elsewhere and thus does have some velocity.
This also makes sense when you think about real-life objects. If a car tire has no slippage, then the point touching the ground will always be touching the ground? It will never "slip" or rotate to let some other point touch the ground?
