It's taking me a few days to prove something.
I know I am proving it because it is supposed to be simple enough and I am almost done.
But the proof so far doesn't feel nice.
Do I push through or do I move to something else for a few days and return at it when my mind is clearer.

I have to prove a formula and the proof is a few pages long.

Aren't you afraid that what you are saying can be stated into something much more succinct, clear, intuitive, etc... maybe you are overcomplicating it.
