maybe if physicists go out of the habit of egotistiacally naming equations and constants after worship figures then the wrong types wouldn't be as attracted to the discipline. if the hubble constant was just called the expansion rate then it wouldn't be tied up in a personality cult and people might be able to question the big bang without getting kicked out of academia for crackpottery.
