Having to redo a lab report, the supposed correct answer is that cobalt(II) in excess sodium carbonate solution oxidizes to cobalt(III) which then redissolves to form tetrahydroxocobaltate(III) ions.

Now I couldn't find for the life of me any mention of [Co(OH)4]- ANYWHERE and I checked google, scifinder, reaxys and google scholar as well as three different inorganic books (Holleman-Wieberg, Riedel, Jander-Blasius). Am I just blind and can't find it? I'm going insane over this
