Kids mostly because they have problems with learning or behaving, so intelligence, memory, attention and other cognitive and executive functions + emotional stability and behavior...so you can find out if there is any suspection to any kind of dyslexia dys... or add adhd, lower iq, differences in behavior or immaturity in social or emotional, autism, problems with communication, learning, parenting ..... then you can do counselling or therapy. The more difficult areas of clinical practice is trying to help people find solutions to their problems or what is the source of their problems like anxiety, depression, schizo, personality dis, behavioral dis., learning dis., psychomotor, sensomotor, and so many more and then try to find out what can be done. The most funded areas are for children so the child, parents and school cna know what is going on and what they should be doing to solve it/lessen the problem. Of course it is not 100% but anything than nothing or getting worse is better. You also have prevention and intervention in school like teaching kids how to communicate, how to deal with problems, trying to solve the problems so the whole class is not destroyed and preventing obvious pathology or suspection like suicide, bullying, selfharm, anorexia, family abuse and such. This is psychology.
Then there is marketing manipulation, business area, HR and other fields. Or academic research. Private psychotherapy practice.
