In all of recorded human history, that is probably the coolest fucking thing ever. Plus we get to observe the remnants with our telescopes from just a few hundred light years. Absolutely awesome.
Do you guys think if Betelgeuse exploded we would get a new beautiful nebula that would become a permanent fixture in our naked eye visibility skies?
