Is there a reason cosmolgists generally hypothesize a multiverse other than to accommodate the apparent fine-tuning of the universe? Despite the fact that there's no reason I'd be me and not you or any of the other me's, or that I should exist infinitely, is it not far more likely, assuming any probability, since we're dealing with infinite worlds and infinite possibilities, is based on the number of possibilities, that I would exist in a reality in which I with all of my memories just blinked into existence; I will similarly blink out of existence; and any feeling of continuity I have is simply false? Alternatively, Occam's Razor says God did it.
