I tried asking /diy/ but i think most of them are functionally retarded.
I have 1000 gallons of water that due to organic activity has had the pH lowered to say 3. I am trying to figure out how many gallons of a stock alkaline hydroxide solution at a given pH, say 14, it will take to neutralize the water. Any idea how to figure this out mathematically?
