1.the "cellular infrastructure" doesn't come from the mother except for the initial zygote. Thereafter the cellular infrastructure will be synthesised using genetic material from both parents
2. if a child did not have its parental DNA it would certainly be infertile and incapable of creating its own sperm or egg cells and would probably die in the womb because not having the right number of chromosome tends to make you fucked up and unable to survive development
so men contribute to every cell division and their chromosomes are necessary for the offspring to be able to produce their own gametes and be fertile. Also without male dna they'd probably grow up fucked up like turner syndrome people , except much worse since turner syndrome people are only missing one sex chromosome, not half of their chromsomes.
