What would happen if time slowed down for an action?

If you increase reaction time by slowing it down [time] for a short period of time, let's say in order to punch someone in the face, then the time would resume for some reason, what would happen to your bones after time resumed?
I’m wondering whether or not something like a whiplash would occur from your body being accelerated then suddenly stopped.
