I'm in the honors college of a very good uni the US (one of, if not the best, public (read: affordable) unis in the nation). The main effect of ADHD (combined with mild dyslexia) is a lower than average reading speed. And yet, I've never gotten anything other than an A in an english or literature class (despite craving death the entire time). ADHD sucks ass and is real but is absolutely not an excuse. A good buddy of mine (currently also in the honors college) has a much more severe learning disorder that can alter his IQ by as much as 20 or 30 points when not accommodated for (this has been clinically tested and confirmed, paperwork to prove). I'm succeeding, and this man who has it worse it succeeding even harder.
Learning disabilities suck, but if you refuse to seek help while also trying your best to improve yourself, you possess a mindset that would make you ineffectual regardless of your disability.
