>>11269565All good points; to add to that, hydrogen itself is a pricey way to fuel a vehicle; current price at the few pumps in CA is ~$14-$15/kg, which means a midsized car like the Toyota Mirai costs more than 20 cents per mile to fuel. In comparison a plain gas Camry is less than 10 cents per mile, and a Tesla Model 3 is less than 4 cents per mile. (Assuming average US fuel & electrical prices).
Also the price of auto-grade fuel cells has not dropped anywhere near as fast as the price of batteries. Which is why BEVs are now being massed produced, while fuel cell vehicles are only being made in compliance car numbers.
