>>11269340I'm a developer, my boss, who is also a developer but started out with a BS in mathematics, got upset when I switched the variables on either side of the equivalence operator, he made me go through all my code and make sure "A" was always on the left and "B" always on the right. I thought it was just for consistency, but then he said it was because my code would break sometimes otherwise, that there are situations where A is equal to B, but B is not equal to A. He told me it's "basic math" that I should know already. He doesn't mess with people, so if he said that then he actually believes it. I thought it was absurd, but he does have that math degree, so then I started doubting myself.
