>>11266502The point of this letter is that no professor calls an undergraduate "a mathematical genius," maybe a budding mathematician, maybe someone with tons of potential, etc. But when someone respected just says "he is a mathematical genius" and it just stands on its own, there is something special there obviously. Princeton certainly knew more about Nash than what Duffin's letter says, and Duffin knew that this was all he needed to say.
It's true, it is all that needs to be said about Nash. Well, besides the whole mental break thing.
