I remember doing that once when I was younger and I was over at a friends house. It was quite weird like I was semi conscious to realize that it was happening but not conscious enough to stop it. the main reason why it happened to me was because my friend couldn't fall asleep without the lights on and I always had to be in pitch darkness to doze off, I usually waited for him to fall asleep so I could turn the lights off but this time I must have fell asleep while trying to stay awake.
