The micromachines (cells) that compose all life are pretty damn flexible and adaptable and use all sorts of things to live, grow and reproduce.
Different lifestyles have different needs and modes so they adapt to make the most of their niche

It most likely was a strange chain of events that caused a self repairing/self replicating micromachine to develop as an emergent event, it is plausible that something deliberately seed the planets with life but is extremely remote and where they came from would be unknowable

great description. i've generally accepted the idea that smth random like lightning on a pool made amino acids to start life, but I hadn't considered something starting it.

the universe is 13.7 billion years old
life started 3.7 billion years ago (google)

that's plenty of time for other life forms to evolve near our level and perhaps beyond. that life could have played some role.

or not, the universe is gigantic. but I hadn't considered it before and that post made me

Optimization of particles. All particles optimize, its just that most optimization is not in a way that you would consider "life". But all three have life cycles when looked at from a macroperspective. All three consume energy, though the rock has such a slow metabolism to be invisible of human scales. All 3 reproduce, in fact there are more rocks on Earth than human life. Optimization is very simple in premise and it works like this: any energymatter configuration not optimized for its environment will be replaced by a configuration that is, and therefore competition for space is innate to all energymatter.
