Alcohol not diminishing returns

I hear drug addicts and drunks constantly whine about how the more you take a substance, the less effect it has, but for some bizarre reason i dont get this.
I've practicall havent touced alcohol until age 25, but when i started drinking i did heavily, never threw up but drank lots of beer vodka and shit like that, i ocasionally spend months without drinking, but when i return to it i do it heavily, and its always super effective.

The reason im writing this is that i just drank one can of beer and feel tipsy already, i thought that wasnt supposed to happen to people who drank lots of vodka in the past.

Do i have a super power to constantly enjoy alcohol or are people who claim drugs lose its effects just get used to them?

also, im a heavy dude, i weight 90kg go to the gym and excersise constantly

what is the scientific explanation for this?
